Workshop Arrangements

The Workshop will be held at the Royal Society of Edinburgh, 22 George Street, in the city-centre. This is a short walk from the head-quarters of ICMS at 14 India Street. This house, the birthplace of James Clerk Maxwell, will also be available for use of participants during the workshop. Facilities include email and rooms suitable for small discussion meetings. This map shows the locations of George Street and India Street. For details of how to get to Edinburgh, please use the links on our Travel Information page.

We have reserved two different types of accommodation:
  1. Single study-bedrooms at Pollock Halls, a University of Edinburgh student residence just to the south-east of the city-centre. Breakfast and evening meals will also be available there.
    This accommodation is currently full.
  2. Single study-bedrooms in Napier University self-catering flats (sharing with 4 others) just to the south of the city centre. Continental breakfast will be provided but not evening meals.
Participants are also free to make their own arrangements for accommodation and ICMS staff will be happy to advise.

These links should take you to a map of central Edinburgh showing the location of the accommodation named. Click on the one you have been booked into.
