Domestic & Financial DetailsVenueBoth meetings will take place at Heriot-Watt University, a campus just to the west of Edinburgh (see here for more details). For more information on how to get to Edinburgh, please look at our Travel Pages.We have reserved single study bedrooms on the campus. Some en-suite rooms may also be available at an additional cost. Participants are also welcome to make their own accommodation arrangements and ICMS staff will be happy to advise. Edinburgh is very busy in the summer and, if you are booking alternative accommodation, you should do so as far in advance as possible. Lunches and other refreshments will be available every day except Sunday 30th. Evening meals have been booked for each evening except Saturday 29th July and Friday 4th August. On Friday 4th August there will be an optional Conference Dinner for which an additional charge will be made. ProgrammeThe SummerSchool will start on the morning of Monday 24th July. There will be a half day on Saturday 29th, a free day on the Sunday and the meeting will finish after lunch on Wednesday August 2nd.The EuroConference will start in the morning of Thursday 3rd August and finish in the afternoon of Saturday 5th August. Financial mattersRegistration FeeSummerSchool - £80EuroConference - £45 Both meetings - £100 Meeting costsThe costs, including the Registration Fee, will be invoiced prior to the meeting and must be paid at the very latest at Registration.Summer School(a) Residential Fee - £502This covers dinner (except Saturday 29th), bed and breakfast (in a standard room) from the evening of Sunday 23rd July to the morning of Thursday 3rd, and lunch every day except Sunday. (b) Non-residential Fee - £180 To cover lunches, refreshments and room hire. EuroConference(a) Residential Fee - £172Covering dinner (except on Friday 4th), bed and breakfast (in a standard room) from the evening of Wednesday 2nd August to the morning of Sunday 6 August and lunches and refreshments for the three full conference days. (b) Non-residential Fee - £60 To cover lunches, refreshments and room hire on the three full conference days Combined Cost(a) Residential Fee - £645This covers dinner (excluding the evenings of Saturday 29th and August 4th), bed and breakfast (in a standard room) from the evening of Sunday 23rd July to the morning of Sunday 6th August, and lunch on the 12 full meeting days (b) Non-residential Fee - £240 To cover lunches, refreshments and room hire for the 12 full meeting days Cancellation FeeWe regret that a cancellation fee of 50% of the cost may be levied if withdrawing after 1 July 2000.Financial SupportThere are some funds available from the European Commission to partially support the participation of EU nationals and nationals of the associated states (Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Israel) who are under the age of 35. The awards are limited in number and will be allocated by the Organisers. Early application is recommended. Each award will be normally worth 750 euros (plus 300 euros as a contribution to travel costs for people travelling from outside the UK).The LMS has provided funds specifically to support UK students (a UK student is a student studying in a UK University independent of nationality) . These awards are of the same value as those funded by the EC and will be allocated by the organisers.
