The Course will be held in the James Clerk Maxwell Building of the University of Edinburgh. This building, which also houses the Mathematics and Statistics Department, is situated within the King's Buildings complex in the south of Edinburgh, a short bus ride from the centre of Edinburgh. Lunch, tea and coffee will be provided at the venue. This map shows the relative locations of the city centre, the Course venue and accommodation. For details of how to get to Edinburgh, please use the links on our Travel Information page.
We have reserved single study-bedrooms at Pollock Halls, a University of Edinburgh student residence just to the south-east of the city-centre. Breakfast and evening meals will also be available there. Participants are also free to make their own arrangements for accommodation and ICMS staff will be happy to advise.
This Fee is payable one month prior to the meeting. The charge for the academic community is £30, and £270 for participants employed in the commercial sector.
The costs will be invoiced prior to the meeting and must be paid at the very latest by the start of the Course.
(a) Residential - £230 This covers dinner, bed and breakfast from the evening of Sunday 26th March to the morning of Saturday 1st April, and lunch and refreshments during the 5 days of the Course.
(b) Non-Residential - £55 To cover the Registration Buffet on Sunday 26th March and lunch and refreshments during the Course.
The organisers have funds to support academic participants' attendance and hope to cover some fraction of the Course costs for many participants. Those wishing to apply for funding should complete the Application for Financial Support section on the Registration Form.
All Registration Forms should be with ICMS by Monday 31st January. Those applying for financial support will be told if their application has succeeded by the middle of February. If the number of registrations is large, priority will be given to younger scientists.
You will find the several formats of the registration form here, including online registration.
