Workshop arrangements


Venue
The Workshop will be held in the St Andrews Room of COSLA, Rosebery House, 9 Haymarket Terrace, Edinburgh EH12 5XH (COSLA). This is very close to Haymarket Station (Edinburgh's second railway station) and on the route of the airport bus.

Parking
There are no allocated parking spaces at the venue. However, COSLA is adjacent to the car park at Haymarket railway station with a daily parking rate of £6.00 and Haymarket Yard with a charge of £3.00 per day.

Meals and Refreshments
Lunch and morning and afternoon refreshments will be provided on all five days of the workshop. There will be a Reception for all delegates hosted by AFIR in the Lounge at COSLA from 17:30-18:30 on Monday 4 April and a Workshop Dinner at First Coast Restaurant (http://www.first-coast.co.uk) at 19:30 on the evening of Thursday 7 April. This restaurant is situated on Dalry Road, only a short walk from COSLA and easily accessible from hotels at the West End of Edinburgh. There is no additional charge for either event.

Accommodation
Participants are free to make their own arrangements. ICMS maintains a list of accommodation here (http://www.icms.org.uk/travel/hotels.html). Hotels and guest houses in Section 1, the West End, are particularly convenient for the Workshop venue. Please contact ICMS if you wish to ask advice.

Internet and E-mail
If you wish to use your own laptop to access the internet or e-mails, a work area is available within the Executive Lounge at COSLA.

Applications and Fees
Applications are now invited. (See here for an online form.) Applications and payment must be received by Monday 21 March. All contributed talks have now been timetabled.

The Application period may close early if numbers exceed the capacity of the Seminar Room.

The fees are as follows :
Practitioners:
AFIR member, days 1 and 2 only - 300 GPB
Non-AFIR member, days 1 and 2 only - 350 GBP
Supplement for days 3-5 (both categories) - 100 GBP

Academic or non-salaried:
For days 1-5 - 150 GBP

Payment of the Fee may be made by cheque or credit card (See here for further instructions). Payment by direct bank transfer is sometimes possible. If this is the only convenient method of payment, please contact ICMS directly. (enquiries@icms.org.uk)

Cancellations: Cancellation of a confirmed place will be subject to an administrative charge of £50. There will be no refunds for cancellations after Monday 28 March.

Financial information
Researchers already participating in the Developments in Quantitative Finance programme at the Isaac Newton Institute (see http://www.newton.cam.ac.uk/programmes/DQF/index.html ) in the week before or the week after this meeting only may apply to the Newton Institute for funding to attend the Edinburgh workshop.
