Scottish Industrial Networking Initiative in the Mathematical Sciences

The service offered by SINIMS is focused on:

liaising with companies to identify and scope suitable industrial problems - searching for relevant literature and previous work that may be applicable
sourcing relevant specialist expertise from academia to assist with problems
identifying the most appropriate mechanisms for approaching the problem
identifying financial support for collaborative projects where appropriate
liaising between companies and universities to ensure mutually satisfactory contractual arrangements are in place to address potential confidentiality and intellectual property issues.

These services are supported by the Smith Institute Faraday Partnership and are currently provided free of charge to companies.
