New Scientific Director
This week Professor Paul Glendinning of the University of Manchester took on the role of Scientific Director of the International Centre for Mathematical Sciences. He has previously been Head of School at the University of Manchester and Vice-President of the Institute of Mathematics and it's Applications. His research covers most areas of dynamical systems - particularly bifurcation theory for maps and flows. In addition, he is author of the popular maths book Maths in Minutes: 200 Key Concepts Explained in an Instant.
Professor Glendinning replaces Professor David Abrahams, who is becoming Scientific Director of the Isaac Newton Institute in Cambridge. We look forward to future collaborations with Professor Abrahams in his new role.
