The maps below show our location in relation to city centre landmarks. Edinburgh has a compact city centre and ICMS is within reasonable walking distance of the main rail and bus stations.

    Tourist Publications have a map of central Edinburgh that you can download in gif format. India Street is near the top of the map to the left of the centre and landmarks such as Princes Street and Waverley Station are clearly marked.

Arriving by Car and Parking

14 India Street does not have its own car park. There is limited on-street parking around India Street. It is expensive and designed for short stays. If, however, you have a Blue Badge for disabled parking the charges are waived.

There are two large car parks within walking distance of ICMS. One is in Castle Terrace in the West End of the city centre and the other is in the St James Shopping Centre at the East End. This map shows the location of all city centre car parks. ICMS is in the Peripheral Controlled Parking Zone (just east of Moray Place on the map).

Bus Travel in Edinburgh

There are two bus companies in Edinburgh. Links to their sites are given below. Both sites carry timetables.

The buses in Edinburgh are not equipped to give change. You should carry selection of coins in order to have the exact fare.

  • Lothian Buses
    The largest bus company in Edinburgh. Routes 24, 29 and 42 pass through Howe Street and are the closest to India Street. Many other routes travel to Princes Street , which is not far from India Street. The fare is a standard £1.10 for any single journey and an all day pass will cost £2.50.
  • First Edinburgh
    First Edinburgh also provide local bus services in the city and the surrounding towns.  Many of their routes will take you to Princes Street, which is not far from India Street. Fares on these buses vary according to distance and are around £1.
