Generic Skills Courses for First Year Postgraduates in the Mathematical Sciences, Spring 2008

This is the second joint generic skills training/SMSTC event for first year PhD students. The aim of the course (organised by the Edinburgh Mathematical Society, the Scottish Mathematical Sciences Training Centre and the International Centre for Mathematical Sciences) is to provide generic skills training for postgraduate mathematicians in Scotland.

Time 13.30 to 16.00
Venue
The Workshop will be held in Faculty Room North of the David Hume Tower, George Square, University of Edinburgh. The room is equipped with OHPs, data projectors and white boards. Further location details can be found by clicking map.
Registration
Please register for the training session by completing this application form.
Public Lecture
Time 16.00 to 17.00
Simon Singh will deliver a public lecture in Lecture Theatre A of the David Hume Tower. Those interested in attending the lecture only should register their interest completing a separate application form.
