About:
This workshop allowed researchers to become more aware of theoretical developments in this field. This was the first-ever workshop focused on fundamental mathematical aspects of splashing across many time and length scales. Modern experimental results on splashing were reviewed, the mechanisms underlying splashing were identified and mathematical problems which help us to understand splashing better were formulated. Furthermore, the workshop prepared the mathematical community to respond to the increasing number of real world processes that demand a better quantitative understanding of splashing.
