Our friends at the Edinburgh Mathematical Society are holding their annual popular lecture on Thursday 26 September. All round excellent explainer of all things statistical Professor Sir David Spiegelhalter FRS OBE will give a talk Chance, Luck and Ignorance: How to Put Our Uncertainty Into Numbers.   The talk will take place at 17.30 in Lecture Theatre B, 40 George Square, University of Edinburgh. No booking required.

                                            

Blackwell's booksellers will be on hand selling copies of Spiegelhalter's books including his new book The Art of Uncertainty. David will be available after the talk to sign copies of his book.
