About:
The central aim of this workshop was to bring together four different research communities to understanding quasicrystals (QCs) and aperiodic order: QCs in materials science, QCs in soft matter, QCs in partial differential equations and QCs in aperiodic tilings. Moreover, the workshop capitalised on recent progress by giving researchers a forum to discuss how different approaches can be most effectively combined to tackle and solve the big open problems in the field.

Share open problems and discuss what approaches might be transferable to attack these

Initiate joint projects between participants

Convene a subgroup of participants to prepare a joint survey article (or a collection of articles) presenting the state of the art

Discuss and plan further workshops and meetings to build on outcome of the workshop

Discuss funding opportunities for joint research projects.
