ICMS are pleased to support and be a part of the new Knowledge Exchange Hub for Mathematical Sciences (KE Hub). The KE Hub is establishing a network of KE Champions, with each mathematical sciences department in the UK being asked to nominate one academic to lead engagement with the KE Hub and act as a two-way conduit of information.
Now, there is an open call for KE Super Champions:
The KE Hub is building a small team of KE Super Champions to play leading roles in delivering Knowledge Exchange activity. Based around the UK and forming a network of established mathematical scientists who are experienced and practiced in knowledge exchange, these "Super Champions" will:
- Lead KE-Hub projects
- Mentor KE Champions
- Devise and deliver KE training
- Engage in flagship KE activities supported by the KE Hub
- Meet regularly to share ideas and best practice
Super Champions will be expected to dedicate half a day per week, on average, to these activities and funding will be provided to the department of successful candidates to buy them out of an equivalent amount of other activities.
There are two separate calls: one for Academic KE Super Champions and a separate call for a KE Professional Super Champion (working in professional service role) to form part of the team of Super Champions.
Any questions can be directed to KEHub@newton.ac.uk and these opportunities have a closing deadline of 29 August 2023.
