About:

This was the first workshop of the General Relativity from AMPlitudes Alliance (GRAMPA) initiative, whose primary goal is to support early-career researchers working in the field of scattering amplitudes applied to gravitational theories.

Due to the pandemic, meetings of GRAMPA were restricted to online. Now that it is possible to meet in person again, we arranged this in-person event, centred around GRAMPA’s aims of creating an environment of continuous learning and knowledge exchange, as well as to foster collaboration and mentorship.

The main theme of the workshop was on the use of innovative techniques from the field of scattering amplitudes and beyond to study aspects of gravity relevant to upcoming gravitational wave experiments. There were talks from GRAMPA members on aspects of their work in this field, as well as two short pedagogical lecture series by Tanja Hinderer and Anton Ilderton on adjacent topics. The workshop provided fertile ground for knowledge exchange between communities, foster new collaborations among early career researchers, and map out the shared future research directions of the communities.
