About:
This was a short workshop exploring new connections between representation theory and probability. The aim of the workshop was to bring together representation theorists and probabilists, as well as experts in other topics, to discuss the recent developments around random walks, extensions of Pitman’s theorem on Brownian motion, the Littelmann path model, crystals in Lie theory, and the asymptotic behaviour of representations of the symmetric group.
The workshop was interactive, modelled to some extent on workshops at AIM in Palo Alto. More details, including more information about the mathematics, can be found here. Furthermore, detailed arrangements of this workshop can be found here and the programme is available here.
